Now to Tuesday 23rd October

IB Isabel Bilbao

present

Michelle Dandrieux

It is not by chance that for the third time Michèlle Dandrieux has a solo show at IB Galería. As her own life has always been linked to art, it is natural that her work has undergone changes that go a from deep concern on formal aspects to her current approach to action, to real, daily life. Therefore it is necessary to periodically review her work.

Her painting is now more intense, urgent. She portrays with
tenderness and spontaneity aspects of life in Jávea, according to each particular custom.

10:30-13:30 & 17:00-20:00 at the
Interiors, Avenida de Ausias March 11.

For more information, go to www.isabelbilbao.com.

Tuesday 16th October

in support of the Alzheimer's Association

A Charity Music Evening

The programme will be varied and will include some of the most talented musicians available on the Costa Blanca. Lined up is Paisley Park (the best live band around); the Enric Peidro Trio (Enric now has a national reputation and brings top musicians from UK and USA to play with his band); Dolce Divas (i.e Claire Harkness-Post, well known soprano and flautist; accompanied by Kirsty Glenn on piano keyboard);
Tony and Anthony Rivers
(vastly experienced entertainers, known and loved by many);
and Dave Wood (who performs in many guises in different bands) who will be doing a folk set.

We always suggest that our audience should eat their main meal before coming as
the venue can only do its best to offer small snacks at the interval.

18:30 for 19:00 at the See Montgo Restaurant, Jávea.

Tickets €12.50
available from Peter Adams on 96 647 0303 or iampeteradams@yahoo.com.
This will be an all-ticket event.

THE WAR TO END ALL WARS

The English Choir, in collaboration with the Teulada-Moraira Town Hall, is planning a very exciting project for their autumn production this year.  It will take place at Espai La Senieta Theatre, Moraira and will commemorate the fact that it is 100 years since the guns fell silent over the western front and the end of WW1 was declared.

The Teulada based choir is marking the event with a special multi-media event.  They will be joined by choirs from Jávea International School and Laude Lady Elizabeth School
for two concerts.

Entitled “The War To End All Wars”, it will feature popular songs of the era and tell the history of the conflict with readings and poems.

There will also be an exhibition of Great War memorabilia and art work at La Senieta from 29th October to 18th November, which again the two schools have been heavily involved in compiling as part of their own history and art projects.
