Satcine is the Saturday Social Club of the Jávea U3A

Any member of the Jávea U3A can join this group by emailing satcine@gmail.com with their name(s) and email address. At the moment we have 300 plus members.

We meet monthly at The Javea Players Studio to meet our friends new and old with a free drink and some nibbles prior to viewing a specially selected film or two which are non-violent with a happy ending. We think it is most important that you go home feeling happy.   James Ward is our projectionist, and Jen Kellow Ward runs our bar.

We open the doors at 19:30 and we start the show at 20:00. To cover our overheads there is a €2.50 admission charge.

We email all Satcine members with details of the next social evening by 10:00 on the Saturday morning two weeks before the show.To book in you must send your request by email to satcine@gmail.com. Please put this address in CONTACTS and use COMPOSE or whatever symbol your system has for a new email to make your booking. That way we get a clear message.  PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR REPLY BUTTON as your request may easily be missed.

The first 50 people to reply get an email to confirm seats.  To turn up on the night is not an option. After the first 50 we operate a waiting list.

Be aware that we often get fully booked within the day of notification.

Saturday 15th September 19:30 for 20:00.

but you need to book now if you wish to join us

Do you fancy Notting Hill?

We have never been there, its in London somewhere.
With that in mind in seems logic that we find out about it so we have enlisted two
guides who have agreed to show us what goes on there.

We enjoyed this film when we saw it a long time ago, you slowly get involved with the story
which is full of one liners and you will soon be taking sides. Of course it has a happy ending
but is it the one you wanted? Come and see.

Please email us with your booking and request for a free drink the choice being:
Wine, red, white, Rose ,Cava. Beer, sin or con. Water, plain, gassy, Tonica. Orange juice.
This year we are adding low alcohol Sangria which we have taken a fancy to.

We look forward to hearing from you.

John and Beryl.
