Paella at the Trencall Restaurant

On Thursday 30th January 2014, the group had a very successful inaugural lunch at Restaurante Trencall in Jávea, with 65 members in attendance. The afternoon started with a welcome from the group leaders, Angela & Tony, and a short account of the origin of “paella”.

Afterwards members enjoyed a variety of tapas followed by Paella Valenciana, Arroz del Seynorett or Paella de Verduras. This was followed by a typical dessert from the Marina Alta, Calabaza con chocolate, all accompanied by very good wine from the Bodega Nuestra Senora de las Virtudes, Villena.
