A Brief History of Xàbia (Jávea) as reflected in its Archaeology
followed by a Social get-together including lunch.

Christine Betterton-Jones presented an overview of Xàbia's history with particular reference to
important archaeological sites and artefacts. Despite suffering multiple assaults through conflict,
thoughtless destruction and extensive urban development, this small municipality retains archaeological
sites and artefacts which record human habitation spanning 30,000 years and four great civilisations.
