Meeting Venue

Jávea Players Studio.

Meeting Day and Time Monthly on a Tuesday. See schedule below.
From 10:30 onwards for a 11:30 start.

The group's aim is to share members’ experiences of world-wide travel. We normally meet on a monthly basis (apart from July/August), with a member of the group giving an hour-long presentation, followed by discussion and questions. The exchange of information photos – maps – guide books – leaflets – cost of trips/excursionsetc., enables members to broaden their knowledge and gain an insight into the countries discussed.

There is a change to the schedule in that the presentation on The Spanish Culture & Cuisine Group’s Cruise on the Guadalquivir River will take place on Tuesday 24th September.

We had intended that this talk would take place next May, but have now decided that it would be far more appropriate for me to give it in September, instead of my scheduled presentation on A cruise around Scotland, and the Edinburgh Tattoo.

The Jávea Players Studio is only a few minutes walk from Mercadona in Jávea old town (see a map showing the location of the venue). Please arrive from 10:45 for an 11:30 start.

The following months we hold a social “get-together” with some extras!

January:      New Year's get-together (cava & nibbles).

June:            Summer social (sangria & nibbles).

December:   Christmas get-together (sherry & mince pies).

The cost of hiring the venue is NOT subsidised by the Jávea U3A any more. Therefore the entry fee is now €1.50 pp to cover the hire cost plus the extras (e.g. tea/coffee and biscuits plus the social get-togethers above).

We would very much appreciate it if you could pay with only €1 and 50 cent coins, rather than those little weeny brown things!

A “reminder” will be sent by email to all TT members a week before the meeting, following which members should reply by email to BOOK A PLACE so that we know how many seats to make available etc. If any new members would like to join our group, please email the organisers, as above.

Future Schedule

Arrival at 10:45 for an 11:30 start. Charge of €1.50 pp towards the cost of room hire.
New members always welcome!
