Communications Officer

Tasks and Duties

  1. To develop, manage and edit the Newsletter.
  2. To ensure members are kept up to date with the Society’s activities and events.
  3. To monitor and edit the content of the Society’s Website in conjunction with the Web Master.
  4. To develop in conjunction with the Web Master the Website to identify Group Leaders and Members needs and implement as appropriate.(Out of date)
  5. To liaise with the Publicity Officer to ensure accurate and informative information is published in local newspapers and journals, both in English and Spanish.
  6. To identify and publicise any charitable events as and when organised in support of the charities the Association is supporting over the year.

 

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Good communication, writing, editing and presentation skills.
  2. The ability to simplify information and communicate it to Society’s members.
  3. Good computer and desktop publishing skills.
  4. Good project management skills
  5. A working knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage but not essential.
